I think it has been long enough for the scarab queen to be in that spot. Maybe a change of continent or area. It talks about how she leaves and disspeapers in the first sentence.

Its mainly there to stop farmers hounding the poor griffons (which used to be a serious problem)

Blame the farming bots. Anytime gold-sellers start botting an area, ANet throws difficulties in the way. And so we real people have to learn to think our way around the new obstacle and the botters go off to another area.

A guildmate made his first 55 monk yesterday, read all the guides, then waited impatiently for a chance to get on the computer and try it out. Well, the article wasn't updated to the current situation and tells you to practice on the griffons. He called me to vent his feelings about scarabs; not a pretty moment.

My spidey-sense is tingling...

Is it perhaps because you want an easier area to Vanquish? :O

I totally agree - I think its about time a huge group of giant lizards came in and ate all of those scarabs. Gigantic things like the skeletons we see scattered all over the crystal desert. Now THEY would be a challenge to kill! =)

I wouldn't mind her moving, makes my 55 job easir XD. Although that is a rather convenient spot if you want to stock up on Kepkhet's Refuge.

Kephket is now part of Nightfall storyline, and is there to stay. What is it? Eater of souls or something?

It'd be nice if ANet got rid of the Scarabs - of all things, Scarabs? Really? And right after them being in Maguuma?

If they want to keep the place lacking in a large amount of Griffons, then send in giant frogs to eat the scarabs.

Then after a year or so, when people tire of that, send in some giant, umm, <commonpredatoroffrogs>.

Perhaps the Griffons eat giant frogs. It could be a big happy cycle. =)

Let's add more random crap like that in the other heavily-farmed places!

As mentioned by Antheus, she is now part of the Elona quest "Family Soul" so a move is unlikely to happen since the continuity in the quest locality would be skewed.

Besides, maybe Keppy liked the Crystal Desert so much she decided to settle down for good with her brood.
